담당자(David Lidsky)는 이번 The Best Business Books of 2009은 2가지의 시사점을 준다고 밝혔다. 우선, 글로벌 경제위기가 다시 일어나지 않도록 어떻게 대비해야 하는 가에 대한 부분과 산업적으로 자신의 브랜드를 파괴하는 주요 취약점이 무엇인가를 알아야 한다는 점이다. 그리고 혁신의 매혹을 제공함으로 인해 가장 발빠르게 돌아가고 있는 회사들의 전략과 지속가능한 사회적 성장을 만들어 가는 기업들의 통찰력이 어떻게 만들어 왔는지에 대한 단단한 기초를 설명해준다는 점을 들었다.
